The NetVanta 1238 with PoE is a managed, Layer 2, 48-port Ethernet switch designed for fast, secure, cost-effective LAN switching. This scalable, full-featured business-class switch is perfect for VoIP applications by using robust Quality of Service (QoS) features and 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities to power IP phones, protecting the organization with advanced security capabilities, and ease of management with an easy to use Web-GUI.The Adtran NetVanta 1238 switch (1700599G1) is a high end power over Ethernet switch designed to deliver full IEEE 802.3af 15.4 w power to all 48 ports on the switch. The 1238 first gen PoE switch is a managed layer 2 switch that operates at 10/100 network speed. The Adtran 1700599G1 has a combo port that has Gigabit speed through either an SFP fiber port or a 1000-Base T Ethernet port. An addition two 10/100/1000 ports are available for additional uplink or stacking ports. The 1238 supports Quality of Service (QoS) for prioritizing traffic.
